    Most likely I would delete it as spam.

    Although hearing it coming from an outside location would generate riots and change our view of the universe.

      I would assume the author was talking out of his arse, estranged from reality, in a bunker perhaps? or maybe computer generated?
      certainly no sentient being

      consider it irrelevant and then delete it

      (the movie "contact" was based on this, wasnt it..)

        In a way... "Contact" is more concerned with SETI- It's been years since I've seen the film, but I can't remember mention of the Arecibo message directly. Should watch it again. I do know that the Arecibo message and the story/screenplay for "Contact" were both written (primarily) by Carl Sagan.
